For over 20 years I was hiding my binge and emotional eating from all of my friends and family but now I am owning my story in hopes to help other women escape from their own struggle with food and their bodies. .
I was stuck in a cycle of yo-yo dieting, losing and gaining the same 50 pounds which left me feeling out of control with food and hopeless. I wasted so much of my precious time obsessing about food, hating my body and and feeling shame. Three years ago I got to a place where I had had enough and I went on a journey to find a better way to live and I did! .
Diets don’t work they only keep us stuck and in the struggle. What I learned and want to share with you is the missing piece to stop binge and emotional eating which is to shift your identity and rewire your brain to NOT desire the food. Think about it, if there was no desire for food you wouldn’t want it and their would be no struggle.
For example, if you are like me and don’t smoke cigarette’s and someone where to put a pack of cigarette’s next to me I would have no desire to smoke them. If you put a plate of cookies next to me I would want them because my brain desires the cookies. The goal to to shift your thinking and brain neuropathways to feel the same way about cookies as you would he cigarette. .
At first I was a little skeptical, but now I am coming from a place of truly not desiring the cookies and have so much freedom with food and I want everyone to feel this way because I know it is possible!
