Who else eats like a maniac with no self control when they are stressed? 🙋🏽
Life can be hectic, and the demands of school, work, family, friends, finances, etc. can get overwhelming at times. Small amounts of stress can actually be beneficial, producing boost of energy that carry us through difficult situations like studying for an exam or preparing for a presentation at work. However, chronic stress can have some pretty detrimental effects on your immune system, cardiovascular system, endocrine system, and overall health.
Recharge your body with exercise, healthy diet, sleep, and positive social interactions. Something as simple as pausing for 30 seconds each day to take a few deep breaths of fresh air can significantly decrease stress levels.
I challenge you to get more sleep, get your heart pumping, or meditate/relax more this week. Take care of the one and only body you have 💗
