My motivation lately has been at a low. It’s been hard for me to get up and do the things I want to do, to get to the gym consecutive days, and I’ve been very tired for no reason. (Maybe some reason, but still)

Maybe it’s just a small burnout from finally having a break from school after going non-stop since last June. Or I’ve just been taking on too much and internalizing the feelings/worries of the people around me; on top of my own.
.
.
I’m on my physical disability fieldwork this week (yay OT & scrubs🤗) and I just got back Sunday night after traveling down to Wilmington, NC. And I got my 3rd tattoo❣️💉 (Path of Life symbol) I’m a strong believer in “everything happens for a reason.” But I’m also a strong believer in putting in the hard work for the shit you want to do and accomplish. I know I’ll get to where I want to be, work and live in the places I want to, and surround myself with amazing people. I also know I’ll get out of my little rut, I’ll get my motivation back, and I believe that everything that happens to you, good or bad, is for a reason. If something doesn’t go the way you thought, it’s because life is taking you a better way to better things. Sometimes we don’t know the reason until we get there. All we can do is work hard, stay disciplined, and trust the process.🤟🏼

Hope y’all have been having a great week, I know I’ve been MIA on here😂🙈 And if you’ve been feeling unmotivated or down or just blah, know everyone goes through it and it’s okay to take time for yourself. The gym will always be there, put your mental health as a priority too💛🌞🌻🌊

So over last the couple weeks I’ve been doing a ton of yard work. Helping out my parents clean out trees. Making sure I get all my yard stuff handled as the season is starting to turn.

So not only that I’ve been getting my workouts in. With all this stress and exercise I’ve been putting on my body there’s nothing more important than making sure I get my post workout in.
.
The Post Workout Stack @1stphorm is key to making sure I recover correctly. Which is Phormula 1 with Ignition.

The reason for this being:
Knowing the Ignition it’s gonna help spike my insulin levels at least 6x making sure I restore my glycogen levels “that were depleted during my workout” so then the cells in my body will except the Phormula 1 making sure it gets to my muscles faster in order to help with recovery giving me that edge to quickly repair all the micro tears I put on them during my workouts or yard workout that I’ve been doing.

I also like to add a little creatine monohydrate in with my post workout shake. That little extra edge in my training.

• REALISM IS NOT PESSIMISM •

There’s a big difference between being realistic, and being pessimistic •
Being realistic doesn’t mean you don’t have big goals and dreams. In my opinion, it is having a big idea, but breaking it down into monthly, weekly, and daily things you can REALISTICALLY achieve. •
Being pessimistic is completely different. It is not believing in yourself or worse, playing the “poor me” card.

No one (that I’ve ever seen) just set a huge goal and magically achieved it. You have to be realistic with how to get there and that takes planning and dissecting the bigger picture into smaller parts

A pessimist would just say, “oh no I can’t do that. No way that could be ME!”

I’m saying it CAN be me, but maybe not yet. I still have a LOT to learn and grow from. That does NOT mean I’m not achieving the smaller puzzle piece goals along the way

Its all a big picture, and no one creates it over night.

So set high standards for yourself and those around you so you can build a solid foundation, but know it’s going to take time.

You’re not a pessimist, your a realist. And you WILL get there if you just keep pushing forward

The change that you don’t think is possible for you is within your reach if you are willing to make the commitment

It isn’t easy but it’s not complicated

Doing it right can take a long time

It’s rarely sexy and glamorous

It will get frustrating at times

At times it can feel like a lonely journey

Damn, I’m not doing a good job selling this am I? How about this:

If you make the commitment, and do that work, the guaranteed payoff is a legit life change that changes your physical self but makes you better in every other facet of your life and can make you feel happier than you ever thought you could be

If that’s the payoff, does it make that other stuff I mentioned seem worth it?

Spoiler alert: IT IS

I love watching people who have become my friends getting after this same thing this year and experiencing what I experienced especially those that I have had the opportunity to help a little along the way

Tuesday squat nite.. nice volume work. After Warmup.. 345lbs x 3 reps for 5 continuous sets... nice deep controlled reps.. squats are starting to feel great. Right glute still not right from disasters deadlift last Friday.. going to back off deadlift to every other week and concentrate on squat.. and of course continue crushing bench.. keep at it everyone.. My mama and I made dat headboard 😍 FINALLY settled into the new apartment and ready to tackle life again. Currently shopping around for a new gym because the gym that I originally joined SUCKS!! Literally went there twice and witnessed THE worst gym etiquette I’ve ever seen in my life and I can’t surround myself with that. So! If anyone has any recommendations for gyms in the Raleigh area slide into my DMs. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
On Monday I will start my new nannying job of picking up two sweet kiddos from school and getting to hang out wit them for a couple of hours. And then Tuesday I start at my new Starbucks! So things are starting to fall into place and hopefully I can land a PT job before I even retake my exam but we’ll see what God has in store for me. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Moral of this semi long post is that keep moving forward. No matter what life throws at you or hard It might seem all you can do is keep moving forward and not look back. Because God has a plan for you in the forward not in your past, so keep pushing and having faith and It will come to you ❤️❤️
