A few days ago @warriorfit1 asked us what was our “Why” for deciding to enter the #transPHORMation #challenge and at first I didn’t know how to answer
-
My first thought was, well because I want to do something I want to create a body that I can be proud of that I can keep healthy so I can fight this disease better... -
Bit that just didn’t seem entirely true it seemed like a response that everyone would give when first starting out, which is absolutely ok, however I knew that wasn’t my reason.
-
My reason is clearly shown in the pictures attached... my “WHY” -
I want to be around long enough to show my beautiful kids that hurting doesn’t last forever, that it doesn’t matter what people think about you or what they assume they know, what matters is that we have a beautiful family, we have the things we need and we fight for everything that gets us closer to or dreams! -
my why is that I want to show my oldest, Beverly Ann, that she may not be biologically mine but that she’s mine forever! I love her and want her to become extraordinary I want her to enjoy health and fitness and find passion in everything that she does, she is so incredibly strong, she stands up for what she believes in and she fights for it! She is a warrior! -
Next I want my beautiful, Kaydence RaeLynn to grow up knowing that anything is possible, that you can wear more than one hat, she doesn’t ever have to settle for one dream, she can create her own! She’s so imaginative and smart and can walk circles around anything science related, she’s 9 and has already began making real experiments, she has the heart of an Angel and believes in the good in all people, she doesn’t see the ugliness in the world or the hate, she sees beauty and smells the flowers! She believes that she can do anything, and she pushes me to be a better person. -
Finally, Skyler Bryant, I want him to know that no matter what he is loved, that our small family has more love for him than anyone else possibly could! Against all odds he survived a miracle and with that has pushed me to know that I can do anything with the strength God gives me! My heart breaks every day and my girls ⤵️

Can’t quite figure out my Garmin for strength training it says work 7min rest 29. That was definitely far from the truth maybe visa versa . Had to go to the gym after family time. But no excuses 24 hr fitness is open 24 hrs. If you set out to do something.

Anything.

A goal.

A simple daily task.

Or a life achievement.

But don’t plan.

You don’t put the work in.

You’re too lazy to do what needs to be done to achieve it.

You find excuses to validate your lack of commitment.
.
You find reasons that others can accept for why you haven’t achieved it yet.

Or for why you haven’t been able to accomplish a change.
.
Is it really something that you want?
.
Is it really too hard to accomplish?
.
Or are you just too lazy to put the work in.
.
Are you too lazy to take the actions necessary to accomplish what ever it may be.
.
Losing weight?
.
A change in the way you handle things in life?
.
A life achievement?
.
Self improvement?
.
Handling depression/ anxiety?
.
Taking the actions necessary to handle what ever life may throw at you?
.
It’s not going to be easy.
.
It’s not going to be fun at times.
.
It’s going to be hard.
.
You will face obstacles.
.
You will face adversity.
.
Things will not go as planned.
.
Learn to be patient.
.
Learn to endure.
.
Learn to not let what others think stop you.
.
Look to God for guidance.
.
And keep your head down eyes up.
.
Remember why you started and how far you have come.
.
Do the work.
.
Stop making excuses.
.
No one is going to do the work for you.

At every job I've worked at, I've envisioned growth and developing my skills. I wanted to learn everything and give it 100% to prove to myself I could do it. This led to promotions and new job titles.

At my previous job, I acquired over 6 different job titles, my favorite being a "Liquor Manager" and a "Pharmacy Clerk" at the same time (In combination, I look like a shitty human being... this was humorous and ironic at the same time). 😅
.
In time, I wasn't granted bigger opportunities, because I was a "young 21 year old", so other opportunities granted themselves in forms of another industry.
.
When I say growth mindset, I mean learning as much as you can about the main concepts and applying them to improve skills like leadership and management.
.
For example, with liquor, I learned inventory control, and reduced over $11,000 in inventory in one quarter... simply because I wanted to learn, and prove to myself I could do it.
.
With the growth mindset comes responsibilities, and chances to prove yourself.
.
Life is truly what you make it. So why wouldn't you give it 100% at everything you do?

#mondaymotivation I get sad watchin these videos, never thought I'd have to give up my gym... i started my journey here & I had to leave. I miss home a lot, I knew things would change but I didn't imagine it being this way. For those who know me know the importance a gym means to me it goes beyond a workout it really is therapeutic for me. Without it feels like not having that one person to go to when ur feeling down you just gotta sit there alone ... BUT I can't let it get to me. Bench press, I hate it lol for some reason it’s hard for me to gain 10lbs in my bench. I usually don't like doing Smith machine on squats but one thing I do like is working on my depth and correcting my form so when I go to the barbell squats it'll be muscle memory for me. I went from squatting 315lbs to dropping to 225lbs to correct my form now I'm moving back up to more weight. Too many people in the gym think it's all about the weight you lift. Let me ask this....... What good is lifting a lot of weight if you haven't trained to lift it the right way. I see weight lifting as life. You have to overcome where you're at for the moment before you try to take on too much that you aren't ready for. Establish where you are and as you make progress move to the next level. You can't go into the gym or life and see people who are further ahead than you and expect to be performing on their level. They paid their dues, they put in work, they are still working. Instead of focusing on getting to their level look back and see how far you have come.
