Wendler D1 W3 C2 Squats
Handled that last night. Back to my favorite week of the cycle, heavy week, with a good old school dose of heavy weight. Back squats were 290x5, 330x3, 370x6 AMRAP which may have been a rep PR, but I think I've hit 375x6 before not sure. Felt pretty good, still using too much ass and hams, so I'm going to keep punishing my quads until they catch up. I want some massive quads, I think we all do, so I hit some heavy-ish front squats 250lbs for 3x6, then destroyed glutes/hammys with 405lb stiff legged deads 3x6. Finished with machine crunches, whole stack plus some extra weight for 3x15 then called it a night. I love these heavy sessions, and I feel I sweat more during these than any other time, even more so than high rep sets. I love heavy weight! Especially seeing progress, its very encouraging. So far this cycle has been very beneficial in figuring out what works for me and how to properly program. Very excited for my next cycle!
Everyone's over here talking bout Kendrick and all these other dudes dropping music today, and I'm over here in the 90's with some Kurupt bumping on my ear buds. Don't get me wrong, I love Kendrick and some of these new school rappers. But man, I'll forever say that for the most part, they don't make hip hop/rap like they used to. #straightedge #soberlife #chubby #amateur #powerlifter #powerlifting #fit #fitfam #fitlife #fitness #bodybuilding #aesthetics #weightlifting #wendler531 #squats #squatbooty #squatlife #gains #kurupt #rap #hiphop #oldschool #wecanfreakit #lightweightbaby
