Today I witnessed something cool, a little humbling, and just overwhelmingly positive. Growing up I remember thinking, no, knowing— that Saginaw had so much to offer and wondering why it wasn’t more of a “shining diamond” than it is, and a little less of a diamond in the rough. With the opening of the indoor farmers market today I got to see downtown Saginaw thriving. So much so that the local coffee shops were packed, there wasn’t a seat open at The Savoy, and there was foot traffic everywhere. Shoutout to the local businesses there- we enjoyed a fantastic lunch at @bancroftwinebar , and got coffee at @doand_coffee . They probably weren’t used to quite that much traffic but handled it wonderfully. I seriously think this little gem of a city is coming back to what it deserves to be.
