The toe touch looks simple enough, and it is. But, attention to form is critical to keep your back healthy and to make the move as effective as possible. Engage your abs as you crunch up and down with control to get the most out of the move.

a. Stand with some space in front and behind you.
b.Bend at the waist, keeping your legs straight, until you can relax and let your upper body hang down in front of you. Let your arms and hands hang down naturally. Hold for 10 to 20 seconds.

Dumbbell Jump Squat
This progression of the jump squat increases explosive power, strength, and endurance throughout the entire lower body. The exercise also improves core stability and coordination.

1. Hold dumbbells by your side, the weight should be light enough that it doesn't slow you down significantly.

2. Your feet should be just outside of shoulder width with your head and chest up. This will be your starting position.

3. Squat down and immediately reverse your direction to explode off the ground, extending through your hips, knees and ankles. Maintain good posture through the jump.

4. As you return to the ground, absorb the impact through your legs.
