•We are all One•
Exactly 549 years ago Sikhi was found. As Sikhs we are forbidden to see other humans different than ourselves. We are all equal. The caste system is an important part of the Hindu tradition which dates back to 1200 BCE. There are about 3,000 castes and 25,000 subcaste systems. Yet we still follow these systems, as Sikhs we are all brothers and sisters, we are no different than each other, we are the creators children but we fail to see this. I personally look down on the caste system, but it’s something that’s been apart of our culture before Sikhi was found. It’s something that’s been passed down from generation to generation. I’d be a hypocrite if I said I’ve never looked down on anyone due to what caste they belonged to, yes I’m ashamed, I was an ignorant kid. Yes I’m against it all, I’m learning as we all should be. We’re all human, we all belong to the same race. Maybe the past generations couldn’t overlook the caste system, but we can. As time goes on we will evolve, it may take some time but I do believe we can over come this “caste” system and all be a family. Our castes, our ethnicity, our status don’t define who we are. Our character does. 💙#browncommunitymovement #equality #weareallhuman
