Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.

Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to accomplish something big, that we fail to notice the little things that give life its magic...

I was extremely busy at work on my birthday and got sick over the next few days so I didn't get to really celebrate my 30th (apart from the beach time with my siblings and childhood friends last March 1). My co-workers (with the mastermind @geearvin) set up a surprise party for me last night, with my sister @tanduairam as their accomplice, and reserved a function room at a restaurant. My sister pretended to be craving for something and made me promise to go with her and I did. I didn't expect to see my friends there. I was shocked when they started singing "Happy Birthday" with lighted candles on a cake from Lizbeth, and cupcakes from @maisakorn and @matetdiez. It was really touching. Yes, work is super stressful, but I love my co-workers, and I know they love me too. I just couldn't go out after and drink the wine that Mark brought cuz I'm still sick (the hippo and the brand seem to mock me, haha). Thank you, everyone! 😘😭😷

A UNESCO World Heritage Site: Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur. This church have been at the forefront of Philippine history, not just in furthering Christianity in the archipelago, but in serving as the political backbone of Spanish colonial rule, when Church and State were regarded as one. The unique architecture of the churches didn’t just reflect the adaptation of Spanish/Latin American architecture to the local environment, but also of the Church’s political influence.
