This weeks transformation isn't based around body composition but more so about comp prep and fat loss protocols over time and the importance of putting health first! I was slightly leaner at 4weeks out for this show when compared to my last show and am coming in this time with more muscle mass. Because my coach implemented a diet break and then reverse diet nutrition protocols post-show, I was able to remain pretty much at stage weight, stayed lean but was able to fix any negative adaptations to my hormones and metabolism due to being in a deficit by increasing calories, carbs and fats. We were able to increase energy and mood by slowly building calories back up, implementing high days 2x per week for an increased boost of carbs and fats for hormone balance and regulation.

What does this mean? By staying lean, remaining on track with calories and strategic manipulation of macros I have been able to diet back down on higher calories and carbs, to drop fat but, most importantly keep training volume and cardio down so I am able to maintain more muscle coming into this show! It is possible to reset your body's set point - the weight and bf% where you comfortably sit - so that you remain lean year round whilst being able to maintain or diet down on much higher calories. But this is a process that takes time! You can not trick your body with aggressive deficits or quick fixes. It takes time! Changes must be slow and sustained over long periods of time to ensure they last!

But, staying lean year round should never be the ultimate goal. Growing, changing and constantly progressing should be the aim. To improve your physique, you need to be healthy! That means a healthy bf% and adequate carbs, fats and calories! Too many people undereat , overeat or try to maintain body fat levels that are not healthy. (continued in comments)...

Try to implement some healthy rituals into your daily routine. Morning meditation, having your supplements and water before coffee, a workout before breakfast... whatever it may be, these are the rituals that change our shape our lifestyle. ⠀
