Happy Sunday y’all! Thought I’d share this. Spent some time looking back at pictures & seeing how far I’ve really come. I’ve always been competitive & active & fairly fit most of my life. At one point I gained 20lbs over my first 2 years in college and began to be super insecure & hated how I looked. Unfortunately, like most girls, I cared about what others thought. I decided I was going to lose the weight and I did, but not the right way. I began running & changed my diet which included 3 wimpy meals a day. I still partied every weekend & really ate even less on those days until the drunk munchies kicked in & I’d binge on junk food. 😳
I weigh the same in both photos, 125lbs. Left was my very first comp in May 2017 (healthy diet & exercise) & the right was spring of 2012. Yes, I’m thin, but I wasn’t nourishing my body, I had a negative mindset about food, & I still didn’t have a flat tummy. When you lose weight the wrong way we get “skinny fat” and everything isn’t nice & tight & “toned” like we all want. My point is, you don’t have to torture yourself to get results. The right diet & hard work bring on the gains. Have a healthy mindset & a goal & you can get there. You’re not alone. I’m so glad I started this journey, I’m the healthiest & most confident I’ve ever been!
