HAPPY INTERNATIONAL TEQUILA DAY
National Tequila Day comes on July 24 of every year. Mexicans like to celebrate this day, and so do lots of others. Tequila is made from the blue agave plant, it is named after the small town called Tequila in a valley west of Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico, the spirit was known as mezcal wine about the time the conquistadors came to the continent. This popular drink, made with tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice, plus the trademark salt lip, will bring a touch of the tropics to any get-together and parties.
