Quick post! #WATERFACTS ! Are you getting enough water? Chances are... you’re not. #Elimination, #lymphaticflow , #digestion , #brainfunction ... all rely on: #hydration ! If one of these things is out of whack, you might want to try your water intake. Here are some quick water facts to keep you on your game:

You need “1/2 your body weight in oz. per day”... three liters for an adult female/four liters for an adult male, and an additional L for every hour of exercise (this goes for healthy weight) is best. Make sure you’re adding adequate #electrolytes to your water (#potassium , #magnesium , #sodium , #calcium ) to stay optimally #hydrated . This can be done with a flavorless powder, like pH adjust (amazon). A pinch of #PinkHimalayanSalt will do the trick, too.

Adding lemon to water will give it a nice, #alkalineboost. Warm lemon water in the AM is stimulating to the #lymphaticsystem , and good to generate #peristalsis .
Mineral waters like @topochicousa , @perrier , and @sanpellegrino_official along with @fijiwater have high contents of silica. #Silica pulls #aluminum out of the body, binds to it, and eliminates it. It’s a nice, natural #heavymetaldetox !

The body can really only absorb ~250 mL of water at a time. Don’t chug your water!

Don’t drink alkaline water with a meal—it neutralizes stomach pH and impedes on digestion.
Drinking water (in general) too close to mealtime dilutes stomach acid, and also can slow digestion, and lead to #malabsorption .
Water with dissolved #hydrogen like by @trusiilife , or with #ozone infused into it has profound benefits for medical health.

#Tapwater has some of the highest contents of #heavymetals , and #citywater has some of the highest contents of #bacteria , #fluoride , and #chlorine . GET YOUR WATER TESTED to know what you’re drinking!

Be like the #WaterBoy and get some #HighQualityH2O 💧 your health depends on it!

Water #Facts:

#PureWater has no smell and no taste, it also has a pH level around 7.

Nope, not pointing at the weekend ahead. Pointing at a herd of Buffalo... who live near Salt Lake City, Utah... on an island... surrounded by the Great Salt Lake. Is that normal habitat? Absolutely not... wanna know why? .
.
Unlike #catalinaisland, who’s island loving buffalo were place there for a movie and then forgotten (yes, @visitcatalinaisland has buffalo) @antelopeislandstatepark has a buffalo herd that was intentionally placed on the #island to protect them from being hunted to extinction back when people were doing such things for fun. #stupidus .
What does that have to do with #h2o ?.
.
Antelope Island is surrounded by the largest salt lake in North America yet, there are natural fresh water springs on the island that help keep the buffalo, coyotes, big horn sheep and thirsty gnat bitten adventure hydrologists quenched year round.

“According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%. Each day humans must consume a certain amount of water to survive. Of course, this varies according to age and gender, and also by where someone lives. Generally, an adult male needs about 3 liters per day while an adult female needs about 2.2 liters per day. All of the water a person needs does not have to come from drinking liquids, as some of this water is contained in the food we eat.

Water serves a number of essential functions to keep us all going:

A vital nutrient to the life of every cell, acts first as a building material.
It regulates our internal body temperature by sweating and respiration
The carbohydrates and proteins that our bodies use as food are metabolized and transported by water in the bloodstream;
It assists in flushing waste mainly through urination
acts as a shock absorber for brain, spinal cord, and fetus
forms saliva
lubricates joints
According to Dr. Jeffrey Utz, Neuroscience, pediatrics, Allegheny University, different people have different percentages of their bodies made up of water. Babies have the most, being born at about 78%. By one year of age, that amount drops to about 65%. In adult men, about 60% of their bodies are water. However, fat tissue does not have as much water as lean tissue. In adult women, fat makes up more of the body than men, so they have about 55% of their bodies made of water.” Photo & Text thanks to - https://water.usgs.gov/edu/propertyyou.html

INFLAMMATION and AUTO IMMUNE DISEASE. Do you suffer from inflammation? It is thought that a daily dose of baking soda may help reduce inflammation associated with auto immune diseases.
.
It’s due to mesothelial cells, which cover the exterior of your organs to keep them from rubbing together. Mesothelial cells have fingers called microvilli that warn the organs they cover if there is an invader and an immune response is needed.
.
Drinking a solution of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) becomes a trigger for the stomach to produce more acid to digest the next meal and for the mesothelial cells on the spleen to tell all of the other organs that there is no need for a protective immune response easing inflammation.
.
In a study in Georgia, after subjects drank water with bicarbonate soda for two weeks, the population of immune cells in the spleen shifted from primarily those that promote inflammation to those that reduce it.
.

.
Mix this up with a healthy high vibrational gem water and who knows we may be saying see you to inflammation. Interesting research don’t you think?
.
Who here uses baking soda regularly for medicinal purposes? Share with our followers any successes or fails. With a huge percentage of the population now suffering from auto immune diseases and inflammation any life experiences shared may be able to help others ease the pain and discomfort of these debilitating disease. Much love Melanie xx
