I'm using my insomnia wisely! I'm going through old photos.
This is one of my favourites. It was taken at one of my Granddaughter's softball matches, in Sydney, a couple of years ago. It was an early chilly morning!
In the pic are, from left to right:- my step-Grandson, my life-partner, yours-truly (with the most amazing braid-extensions - boy do I miss them...) and my Daughter-in-Law.
I really am irrationally chuffed to have this shot back in my system, and in my life! I couldn't really say why I love it so much! There are many more poignant pictures in my reclaimed stash - for example an old black-and-white 'snap' of my late Father, just after he had been de-mobbed. Which is fabulous to have back, but it doesn't speak to me like this one does.
Perhaps I have become accustomed to no longer having my Father in my life, he died many years ago. Whilst, on the other hand, I shall never honestly get used to being apart from my children, and grandchild. Although all the holidays in Australia are certainly a bonus 😁
To say I am delighted to be reacquainted with all these photos is an understatement!
I was victim of a serious cyber-crime back in January, which rendered all my Apple devices useless. Only now, 10 months, a shed-load of personal distress, and a small fortune in repair bills down the line, have I gained access to, and am able to start the long process of, reclaiming my personal stuff.
You know how I will be spending my wet, miserable, chilly Autumnal Sunday in the UK!
Happy days 😅
