Grocery shopping was something that had to be done often for the team, given their growing numbers as new recruits were added to the facility. Some members were expected, and others.. Well, not so much.
Thor’s adoptive brother, Loki, had been one of these new, unexpected additions, after he had returned to Earth with Thor and ‘turned over a new leaf’.
Wanda had never met the god before, so when rest of the Avengers seemed rather hostile towards his arrival, she couldn’t help but be confused. He was, in a sense, related to Thor. How bad could he be?
When it came to grocery shopping, they had a system worked out to keep their list as accurate as possible. Along one of the walls in the kitchen, they had opted to using one of Tony’s old whiteboards for the team to write down things as they noticed they were out. This is where Wanda was at currently, copying down the list of items before she left to go to the store.
The Sokovian had learned to identify the others by their handwriting. It was a simple skill that she had learned, seeing as she enjoyed noticing the smaller things about her teammates.
She could recognize Natasha’s sharp lettering that spelt out ‘eggs’, Vision’s cursive ‘paprika’, and Tony’s somewhat rushed ‘coffee’. Wanda silently jotted them down in her own handwriting as she skimmed over the board, but paused as she came across handwriting that she didn’t recognize.
It was cursive, like Vision’s, but the lettering was more proper and elegant; Someone who must be highly familiar with calligraphy. The witch studied it in confusion as she tried to pinpoint who had written it, but what was even more perplexing was what it spelt.
“...Laundry sauce..?” She repeated to herself, her accent twisted into a tone of confusion at the term. [cont.]
