The girls had great fun at the Autumn festival at #wakehurstplace , they did seed planting, drawing, exploring, a cookery class making an autumn fruit sundae and playing in hay to mention a few! A beautiful garden and we had a lovely time. It fit in well with our autumn theme too! 🍂🍂🍂🍂
Commissioned by The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, for their estate at Wakehurst Place in Sussex as one of the key millennium projects in the United Kingdom, the Seedbank was designed to house a 'living library' of over 300 million seeds. The building also contains laboratories, a visitor centre and residential and academic facilities. Set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), adjascent to a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) on the Sussex High Weald, the building form and materials were selected to minimise the building's impact on its surroundings.
