Cute hairstyle 💁🏼 I know! Welcome to October date 23 and happy Monday for everyone his mini VLoG series! Today's nutrition tip is about your jenga meal at the end of the day? Why it's called a jenga meal I'm not entirely sure but I can imagine it's because you're trying to fit the random puzzle pieces in the finish out your daily macronutrient budget! The advice I have for you is to come up with a few staple ingredients that you enjoy that are very high in one macronutrient and very low or have no macronutrients for the other categories. For example egg whites are full of protein but they have little to no fat or carbs. If I want to add some fat into my last meal of the day are usually go towards avocado or nuts or egg yolks. If I need some cards and I want to be very specific that I'll go for some fruit because it's very easy to portion out in small portion sizes maybe not a complete serving size to help you figure numbers by the gram. This works well for me I've tracked long enough that it's fairly simple for me to eat but I want throughout the day and not have to always plan ahead, though I do plan ahead the night before when I'm on prep but I have a lot of the same foods every day I generally have the same drink from Starbucks, I generally start my day with protein shake are usually in my day with egg whites and grits or 🍉 fruit. I generally have a bunch of icon meals stocked in my fridge and freezer so if I'm on the go for a day and I'm not in the house I can grab one or two of those and I know that they'll fit within my macros. Flexible dieting is definitely about flexibility but there is something to be said for structure and though it's nice to flyby the CD your pants now and then and know that you can make different foods from different restaurants work it's definitely less brain power to just take a few minutes every night or every morning to plan out your day and then you don't have to think about food while you're going about your busy schedule! Save yourself some time and take a few minutes to plan ahead and keep a few staple items in your fridge at all times to help you out at the end of the day!
