I am still processing what I have seen at Wai-O-Tapu, the sacred waters. This thermal wonderland is almost too much for the eyes. We picked a picture perfect day of blue skies and fluffy clouds. As we made our way through the scenic park, an endless array of miraculous and awe inspiring wonders kept popping up. From champagne pool, which formed 700 years ago and is an artists displays of colors mixed with the hot sulphuric steam to collapsed craters and terraces displaying eons of vulcanic activity. Devils bath, the bright green lake was almost too much to take in. It just kept getting better and better. The entire loop took about 1.5 hours to complete and although our little ones feet grew tired by the end, we all left with a whole new spark of awe in our eyes. Nature is just so stunning, colorful and ever changing. Wow, just wow! This was probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen.
Thank you Rotorua, you've been amazing.
