#WAGwednesday Hey everyone! I am so excited to get this series started. Each week we will feature a WAG and their story. I can't wait to hear about your crazy moves and WAG friendships. This is such a special and unique community.
I'll start with me. My name is Alysa Bajenaru. My husband is Jeff Bajenaru, a pitching coach in the AZ Diamondbacks organization. We have two kids who are about to turn 8 and 10 next month. I don't post as many pictures of them as I used to because they are getting older and deserve to tell their own story.
We have been in professional baseball for 16 years! What?! That makes us veterans (aka 👵🏻👴🏻). My husband and I met in college, three weeks before he signed to play with the Chicago White Sox. We just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary.
I started this Instagram account three years ago to connect women who might feel alone in this lifestyle, especially minor league women who bounce around so much (I have lots of experience there). I am also the editor for Baseball Chapel women's daily devotionals (baseballchapel.org) and creator of Intentional Walk, a private Facebook group for y'all to connect even more.
I love baseball life, but sometimes it's hard! Like when you have kids and you have to hide in the bathroom with a glass of wine for a little alone time...or when you're all alone in a new city. BUT this game has given me endless things to be thankful for, mostly friends all over the country who have become family 💕. ___________
I love this community and can't wait to get to know you all better. If you ever need anything please reach out!
XO, Alysa #wagsinreallife
