Our #W2W2015 Belgian delegate, Alexandra, shares some valuable information for our #W2W2017 delegates!
It’s no coincidence that every single young women that has experienced Women2Women so far describes it as a mayor turning point in their life. W2W is a community like no other, where, somewhere along the way, friends become your chosen family and you learn how to transform your ideas into tangible action.
While being there, I remember feeling that no plan felt unachievable and no goal felt beyond reach. Two years later, I still firmly believe this as long as you keep taking small steps towards your goal and never give up. I’m not saying you have to hold on to your initial plan, because it will most likely evolve along the way -as will you-, but it is crucial that you keep believing in yourself. In the end, it all comes down to your own mindset when faced with obstacles.
Don’t worry, at a certain point during the conference everything will make sense. You will realize that you are exactly where you are supposed to be, with young women that might come from different parts of the world, but who -above all- have one thing in common: the urge to make a difference. Don’t worry if you don’t know how or when yet, making it to W2W shows you are capable of it even if you haven’t fully realized it yourself yet. Never say you were just ‘lucky’ to make it to Boston, you were chosen for a reason. So take advantage of every single opportunity you get and enjoy the experience to the fullest!
