FEATURE FRIDAY - @feliuevo6's 1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI "Rabbit": "In Europe, the last row of MK1 GTI's that rolled out of production were named after their "American" brother Rabbit. Nowadays, many still call Rabbit to any MK1 no matter it is an early GTI or a diesel unit... People thought that the Rabbits were cooler because of the name, but, in fact, these cars were cheaper than the standard GTI. Even though mechanically they where exactly the same as a GTI, they lacked some of the standard equipment of the GTI, in order to lower the price and get rid of the last parts that were standing on the shelves just before the MK2 release." Thanks so much for sharing, @feliuevo6!
