So today was more of a cheat day. I only ate two meals since I woke up late and going to bed early tonight. And both meals were eaten out with high calorie drinks. See for yourself above. ☝️ This morning on Facebook I came across an informative video aka ad for #Vshred by #VinceSant. ✍The things I remember from the video were:

1. Don't starve yourself or cut your calories too low. It backfires after a few weeks due to our fat burning hormone, leptin. He explains it well and if you want to learn more, please #googleit. 👩‍💻 Instead he suggests to find how many calories your body needs to function on a daily basis and cut that number by 25% to get yourself started. I'm guessing you recalculate when you lose a significant amount of weight and go from there... I've included my #caloriecalculator result above and the suggested cut in calories to lose a pound a week. However, when I took Vince's "test," the daily function calorie number is higher than the generic calculator result. But if you subtract 25% from 1684 cal, the result is 1241 cal. 🤦‍♀️So, #myfitnesspal is accurate to his advice. Also, the macros are about the same in my daily goals section. Vince has less carbs and more protein, but that's already a struggle for me...😒 I was trying to see if I could eat more.... maybe there is a balance between the two numbers. 🤔

2. Finally, HIIT or high intensity interval training is what he suggests instead of long cardio sessions. 🙅‍♀️For right now, I'm gonna continue with my eliptical workouts until going to the gym and/or working out at least 3x's a week becomes a habit to kick up my workouts to the next level. Baby steps people... 👣

Wow, summer is almost over. I've made a decision to enjoy every moment and focus on not just exercising my mind by reading more, but also my body by strength training. I'm starting a journey with VShred. Based on their assessment I'm "skinny fat". To meet my goal I need to intake 1964 calorie per day, 238g carb, 130g protein & 55g fat. Amazingly I need to eat more! Continue my healthy eating, but MORE of it. For me, this will be the challenge. I run out of time in the day when I'm at work and forget to eat. But no more, if I want to gain the muscle mass I want. I'll be starting Toned in 90 Days HIIT Training. I'm looking forward to that, since I enjoy working out from home. I've used several UTube and bought videos that have helped me stay toned, but still haven't given me the results I'm looking for. I figured since I'm not getting any younger, might as well achieve my career and personal goals now. We don't have to look our age. This is healthy living. No one is promised how long they will exist, but might as well continue to feel good about your existence. I will be sharing my journey and invite others to join me. Will keep you posted.
