In addition to providing a great spectator sport and adding to the City’s rich sporting culture, the Indianapolis Diesels are committed to being a good community partner. Victory Sports Education Program (VSEP), which promotes the benefits of exercise, proper diet, physical fitness, and wellness to encourage local youth to lead a healthy lifestyle.
The VESP has adopted the 5-2-1-0 Everyday program which stresses better eating habits and more exercise as well as the No Bull project to address bullying with its consequences. I encourage schools to consider using these resources to enhance their own curricula. The well-being and success of our community depends on caring and engaged citizens and organizations.
What is 5210?
• Eat five servings of fruits and veggies.
• Limit recreational screen time to less than two hours.
• Be active for at least one hour.
• Drink zero sugary drinks.
