So many wonderful things happened at Jemma and Paul's ceremony this afternoon. • They walked down to the garden together, greeting their guests. • During the ceremony I spoke of how "Jemma loves Paulie because he talks to Telstra. Marnie and Richard (Paul’s parents) have been married for over 50 years, it worked for them and she thinks in the end this is what lasting marriages are about, compromise and sacrifice… on the man's behalf, particularly when it comes to Telstra." • The last line in her vows:
"Boy, I will still love you when my heart stops beating, my ashes have been thrown into the sea and we return to each other in the waves. "
• Part of his vows:
"Jemma, I am the luckiest man alive and I have you to thank.
I didn’t know a love like this was even possible.
I vow to give my whole self to you and to the family we may raise one day. I’m all in.
I vow to deal with Telstra for you." • She gave him a McTavish longboard as a surprise instead of a ring. • They finished the ceremony with vodka shots as a nod to the Polish tradition to see who wears the pants.
It was right up there with best evers!
Thanks to their friend and photographer, Pieter, for this pic.
