💥What is a lean bulk? How can you eat pizza but still keep abs? Are you some kind of fitness wizard?
Basically yeah. I am.
Joking ofc, the method is simple but so so commonly sold as some magical secret in the media and in daily life....
🔹Calories IN vs calories OUT 🔹
If your daily calorie intake is above (surplus) what you expend through exercise and normal metabolic processes then you are going to gain weight. If your intake is lower than (deficit) the same energy expenditure then you are going to lose weight!
3 top tips for weight control (losing or gaining):
▪️Record all your meals in a meal tracking app such as MyFitnessPal. This allows you to understand portion size, calorie densities of foods, and allows tracking of your eating habits. ▪️Understand what your TDEE (Total daily energy expenditure) to accurately calculate where your calorie goal should be set in order to have your desired outcome. ▪️Learn the basics of macronutrient profiles and the mechanics behind proteins, fats and carbs and why you need them in your diet. Protein - form muscle tissue, constituent of hormones, blood cells! It is vital for your survival and 100% required to make gains. Fats - store energy, insulate us, and act as messengers in the body. Fats do not make us fat, excess calories do! Carbs - provides energy for the body, brain function, and intestinal health.
All 3 are vital for good healthy body function and so having a balanced diet tailored towards your goals is the base for making progress.
