The quality, not the longevity, of ones life is what is important. -Martin Luther King Jr.
This was the final place I stayed the night while in Bali. A beautiful hotel with cultural influences from three different places on the globe.
Perched perfectly next to a black sand beach, it was the most bittersweet place I got to call home.
I met beautiful people and immersed myself in such a kind culture that the prospect of going back to LA looked bleak.
Every time I go someplace new I take a little bit with me, in exchange for a piece of my heart.
I've been back in the states for over a week now and already seen so much in my own country that makes me miss being abroad. But I think the answer is not to run away. Not to stick our heads in the sands, but to turn off the tv at some point and embrace the people around us.
To take the opportunities to see the world as it is, and realize there's so much more that unites us as human being than the imagined borders that divide us.
I plan on taking off on more adventures as soon as I can. To be sure I'm not running from anything, but in the process of seeking, searching and growing. Hoping to come out the other side a better man.
I have a very special video that I cannot wait to show you all that I made with @glographics while in Bali. Be watching the story in the next day or so! Can't wait till our next adventure boo. Thanks for everything!
