Late Victorian Era 1865-1910 Following the Civil War the textile industry flourished in Rhode Island. Warren, once glorious in’ her ship-building and whaling days, gradually became a mill town. This is part of the Warren Manufacturing Company which made "Warren goods" like sheetings, shirtings, and jaconets and were known throughout the country for good quality.
