What's In My @vitamix Wednesday is all about my Morning Celery Elixir!! I've been drinking this bad boy every morning for a week and it's changed my life. Seriously.
Half a stalk of celery
Two thumbs of fresh ginger
1 T chia seeds
1 T Vitamineral Green powder
Juice of 1 lemon
Fill the pitcher with filtered water.
Blend on high.

Both celery and ginger are anti inflammatory and naturally detoxifying, helping keep all your joints and systems running smoothly. Celery is highly alkalizing and hydrating so you can use this as a recovery juice to keep hydrated after a workout instead of sugary electrolyte beverages. Chia means "strength" in the Mayan language and was used by Aztec warriors for energy and endurance. Chia seeds are rich in fiber, omega-3 fats, protein, vitamins A, B, E and D, minerals and antioxidants. #Vitamineralgreen is an insane mix of micronutrient rich superfoods like spirulina, chlorella, kelp, wheat grass and moringa to name a few. It's my go-to green powder for smoothies and such.
Besides being worlds easier to clean, I prefer my Vitamix over a juicer to make sure that all that good fiber stays in my smoothies and elixirs. The fibrous strands in celery, for example, are important for your gut and digestion.
Enough with the health food jargon... this magical elixir is keeping things moving smoothly, if you know what I mean 😉 It's helping battle bloat and water retention and after only a week, my skin is glowing!!
