Today this cool morning calls for something other than coffee as I'm trying to kick the habit. For the past couple of months I've added @vitalproteins gelatin to my hot lemon, apple cider vinegar and ginger water to aid in digestion and to replace the habit of going straight for caffeine. Anyone else working to shift your relationship with ☕️? What have you tried that works for you? So far I'm feeling good about this shift and my nails have never been longer. Go collagen go.
HA. HA. HA. I was signed up to run a 15k this morning, but woke up to a torrential downpour + flash flood watch. Cue the eye roll. Caffeinated & ready to run some miles, I just drove to the gym to see if I could manage it on the treadmill. Ended up drenched in about as much sweat as I would've been in rain!! Anyway - oatmeal to celebrate!! 🎉 . .
1/2 cup old fashioned oats + 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk + 1 scoop @vitalproteins collagen powder + 1 tsp chia seeds + cinnamon + vanilla extract. Soaked all that overnight in the fridge and heated it up before I had it this morning. Topped with strawberries + hemp seeds + shredded coconut + cacao nibs + pistachios.
Good morning! 🌞 Things are crazy busy in my life right now as the school year comes to a close both for my work & my own kids! Just a few more weeks! I've made a plan for meals this week, and penciled in my workout days on the calendar. Coaching myself with the reminder that I can do hard things... I've got this 💪🏼💛 ⠀ I'm kicking off the day with some vanilla almond overnight oats -- I have been LOVING this combo ever since I started making it and haven't even had my chocolate PB ones in forever! My fave is that it's kind of a cross between oats & chia pudding ❤️ YUM! today's smoothie features frozen cauliflower, blackberries, half of a banana, a hand full of spinach, a scoop of vital proteins, MCT oil, flax seed, chia seed, and water. This was the first time I used frozen spinach in a smoothie and it was unreal!
Breakfast before and after. @aldiusa is the only store that still has spaghetti squash near me - need to start buying by the case 😂I'll try just zucchini once spaghetti is out of season. Love this breakfast. 🥄🍠
My tricks for the frothiest matcha latte: 🍵 add a scoop of @vitalproteins collagen peptides to your matcha and milk (almond is my fave) 🍵 then blend it up for at least 20 seconds (I use my @vitamix or @themagicbullet) Bond was right - shaken, not stirred is the way to go ✨
