Twice a week I teach RehabYoga. In these classes right now I have people that is trying to overcome symptoms of to much stress. Some of them have been totally burned out and are on their way to recovery and some are in the stage of trying to find ways of accepting their new way of functioning.
Today, in the beginning of the class we had a conversation about boundaries and acceptance.
The boundaries each of them need to make for themselves towards themselves. The boundaries they need to make for themselves towards other people. And how that can make other people react with frustration and judgment.
We also talked about the journey that each of them are on, to find new patterns in their life to be able to make these boundaries. And how bumpy that road can be.
The class today focused on honoring the body, both with movement and stillness. By breathing and feeling. To be able to share with others the struggles.
This Taurus New Moon cycle is encouraging us to do just that. Honoring the body. The senses and their gifts, enjoying social connection and the healing energy of being in nature. Taurus also teaches us to fully and deeply appreciate what we have right in front of us, not just what we want to get next.

Rygghälsa 📽7: Fokus ländrygg

Syftet med denna övning är att hitta en balansering av bäckenet/ländryggen för att stabilisera detta område. Rör dig medvetet och kontrollerat. Gör gärna 10 repetitioner och håll 10 sekunder per repetition. Pröva att göra detta varannan dag och testa att göra detta inför samtliga magliggande bakåtböjningar. Utvärdera resultatet efter en veckor.
The purpose of this exercise is to stabilize your lower back and pelvis. Move mindfully with control. So this exercise with 10 repetitions, holding each repetition for 10 seconds. Try doing it every other day, as well as using it as a prep for supine backbends. Evaluate the result after one week. 1. Spread your toes evenly, feet hip-width apart 2. Extend your tailbone toward your heels 3. Lift your lower belly toward your spine and heart

Deltagarna vilar efter dagens rehabyoga. Under passet har vi utforskat hur muskulär aktivitet kan hjälpa oss att hitta en position som är både stabil och bekväm.

Vi tog inspiration från en av kroppens minsta byggstenar - cellen. Cellväggen är å ena sidan genomsläpplig nog för att släppa in den näring den behöver, men den släpper inte in för mycket. Å andra sidan är den fast och stabil nog att hålla cellkärnan kvar, samtidigt som den gör sig av med det avfall den inte behöver. Den här förmågan till stabilitet och följsamhet är något vi kan ha nytta av både fysiskt i yogan och mentalt i vardagslivet. So three classes given, one after the other -at 07.00 vinyasa flow, at 10.00 hatha flow and at 15.45 virya rehab yoga - in three different beautiful studios! And one more evening class to go at Sway :) Do I have energy left? Yes!
Can I still keep quality in how I teach? Yes!
Do I love to teach yoga? Yes! thanks to you all who keep coming to my classes. It is the participants's happy faces and their bless after the classes that make me going on with this work despite some hinders that eventually appear along the way 😜...so just go ahead and try to stop me! 😜😜😜

Waiting for my Friday's yoginis 😍 today being almost last time (for this time) of my course on Virya Rehab yoga. Today working on activating the muscles only 20% of their potential so as to avoid to lock the joints and thus deactivate any eventual fight and flight reflex 🙏🙏🙏
