My soon-to-be West Texas life is going to get me out “on the town” a LOT more than how I am in Austin. If you know me, you know I won’t step foot out the door if it’s anywhere near a bad traffic time in ATX (which is kind of all the time). The drive from Alpine to Marfa and back is nothing short of breathtaking. I was SO happy to see the art and meet the artist @bruce_lee_webb - I’ve admired his work for so long, and seeing it in person- in the perfect spot for it, was inspiring (he also had on a pair of jeans I want to steal). I also met 2 Instagram friends! Hey @pdctexas and @george_zupp ! (Thanks for the pic, George) I had to document the wearing of one of my favorite skirts- rarely worn (see above explanation). Loved meeting gallery owner @wrongmarfa after following their cool lives on IG. ::: and because I treat IG like a blog, let me tell you about my day: I had a fridge delivered from Fort Stockton by two brothers- older gentlemen who told me they grew up in Fort Stockton (I quiz everyone). One guy saw the route through the house to where the fridge needed to be and said, “This doorway may be a problem, let me measure the fridge” He left and came back carrying on old leather belt he was holding to where he measured the width of the refrigerator! Ha ha ha! The belt measurement brought good news- the fridge would fit! Happy times in West Texas!
