my heart was flying when I found this book in the library today. Yvon's work has been my inspiration. This book reproduces more than one hundred of his loveliest images, many made from recently discovered glass negatives. These images from twenties centuries completely took my breath away. - Excepts - "Pierre disliked photographing in the midday sun. It was like recording an image at the moment when the scene lacked charater. He preferred making his image close to sunrise or sunset when shadows are more dramatic." #inspired#yvon#paris
I remember watching Fred Astaire dance and dreaming I could be Ginger Rogers. Sadly, I have no rhythm and am the clumsiest person in the world. But, I can dream of romantic dance sessions with Fred being my dance partner, right?
Day 20 of the #OHchallengeFeb "Favorite Quote". This was definitely a tough one!!! I finally narrowed it to 2 quotes uttered by Vivien Leigh (1913-1967) in the film "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951). The first is "Oh look...we have created enchantment" and the second (and more well recognized) is "Whoever you are, I have always depended on the kindness of strangers." The words would not be nearly so memorable if not for Vivien's remarkable, poignant performance as Blanche in the Tennessee Williams (1911-1983) classic! She truly was one amazing actress!!! 💖💖💖 #favoritefilmquotes#astreetcarnameddesire #1951 #vivienleigh#blanchedubois#tennesseewilliams#classicfilm#vintagefilm
