Take another little piece of my heart now, baby!
At 8 kilometers from the sea, surrounded by rolling hills, natural parks and fascinating ravines, we meet the Agricola Cirelli vineyards. We are in Abruzzo and the 22 hectares of the farm are divided between vines, olive trees and vegetable gardens, cultivated according to the dictates of organic farming. The grapes come from the tradition: Montepulciano and Trebbiano, exalted in their direct and uncompromising character. The star in the cellar is the amphora, an archaic and innovative container at the same time, perfect to exalt the peculiarities of the vintage.
The grapes are de-stemmed and gently crushed, then transferred into the clay amphoras for a 24 hours maceration. The skins are then separated from the juice and softly pressed, before our indigenous yeasts take over and lead the fermentation process. The Trebbiano wine then rests and refines in the amphoras all the way through the malolactic fermentation, untill it is ready to be bottled.
Scorching gold. The nose, initially severe, captures with a vortex of land and sea, then opens on citrus breaths, plums, rosemary and yellow flowers; convinces with spicy ginger spatters and white pepper. Velvety sip but with great freshness and incredible flavor, lingers long before leaving. A wine to share with friends of all life...
