S N O W ❄️ W O R R I E S
My dad and I went out for a short jaunt as the sun was setting today, purely to appreciate what a beautiful place we live in (Curbar and Baslow Edges in the Peak District). I often take them in as part of my running routes and try to use their beauty to distract me from how hard the hills are to run up 😝
Spending some time outside in the fresh air with these gorgeous views, did a lot to ease Dad’s anxiety (and mine, to be honest), even though we couldn’t walk very far from the car.
It’s amazing how it takes something so massive to realise that the little things only matter when they brighten your own or someone else’s day: taking ten minutes for a coffee, to meditate or to stretch before everyone else wakes up; leaving someone you love a little note; thinking about what you can do to make someone else’s day a little better. The things we all stress about day to day tend not to matter. Why do we waste time on people who don’t care, jobs we hate, material things? They just don’t matter, when it comes down to it.
I have no idea what the next few months have in store for me but I’m really happy to be concentrating more on the people, projects and places I love 💛
