Up up and away! -- Taking the train up to the Le Jardin D'Amour to see the Pagoda and the Golden Bridge. Unfortunately, it was still too foggy when I reached the top. But the journey must go on eventhough with low-visibility. 😅
Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. Ha Long means “descending dragon”. We could connect this meaning to popolar legend according to which a dragon family came from the heaven to defend vietnamese people from invaders, spitting emeralds and fire. These precious stones fell into the sea up to form thousands of island.
And so in January my trip continues...Will head back to Southeast Asia to explore this beautiful part of our planet a little more. Will start in #Vietnam, so excited! Have you ever been to Vietnam? What is not to be missed?
Descending dragon . . That’s the translation of Ha Long Bay. Legend has it that dragons were sent down by gods to protect the bay from invaders. The islands were made from the jewels the dragons spit from their mouths at enemy ships.
