Funny, how routine has the ability to make time fly, but also to slow down a moment.
I have my morning routine, but other than that, I prefer to live each day differently. I need to be able to distinguish a Tuesday from a Thursday- I absolutely hate when one day rolls into the next. It stresses me out and brings a lot of unhappy thoughts. I need to take a moment each day to reflect and be grateful for something. And I prefer to have something new to be grateful for each day - even if it's something small and objectively insignificant. Some people thrive in daily routines and don't get swept off their feet into oblivion. That's not me.
But there are some routines that I cherish and that capture joyous moments that positively affect the rest of my week. I am thankful that my collection of rituals and traditions is growing thanks to wonderful people that I've met lately (but more on that another day). For now, I'll stick to a newfound tradition Nikita and I have of catching up at @rustleandstill For a long time, I wished for a cafe like Rustle & Still in our neighborhood, and my wish finally came true. It's so lovely to have a place where we feel welcome and comfortable. We have a chance to talk about the significant things going on in our lives - away from our to do lists, chores, daily life. It's just the two of us, and there's nothing else to do other than sip, bite and chill 🌿
A big shout out to Tri & Hang for creating such an impactful space. I know you wanted to create a community and to have a bigger impact than just serving coffee & food (which you do super well, by the way), and you've definitely achieved that.
Going to Rustle with Nikita @nickemtsov is always something I look forward to. Time slows down, and the whole world falls away 💕
PS I'm actually sitting at Rustle sipping on a Pandan Latte as I write this, and Tri & Hang have no idea. This post is not in any way sponsored. Totally from the heart 😘 🤗 What are some of your cherished routines/rituals?
