😍My beautiful girlfriend here is really growing up...black boots w/heels, short jean shorts and the posing😮 These 8 years have gone by so fast. .
Sammy has really come so far in handling her impulsivity, thinking before she speaks, being able to attend more for learning...it’s def a work in progress. I am just so proud of her that instead of bottling it all up and exploding emotions, that she’s asked me multiple times to talk before school, after school, about whatever is on her mind. .
The past week truly opened my mind to this as her great grandfather, who she spends a fair amount of time with, isn’t doing well. This after losing her cousin unexpectedly this summer, her uncle to ALS, her grandfather to MS...she opened up about how she was doing and SHE asked to speak to her counselor at school. The maturity level astounds me. It made me sit back and take notice.
It also made me realize and appreciate all of the conversations that we’ve been able to have. Let’s be real here, I used to see her for 45 mins before she had to leave for school. Which was chaos of getting all 3 girls fed, dressed, and ready. We had about 2 hours after school which was homework, dinner, baths, packing lunches, next to zero actual downtime together. .
It makes waking up early, working during lunch, staying up after the girls went to bed to pour into my business all completely worth it. I had NO EXTRA time or energy. But my goals and dreams for myself and my family were and continue to be a PRIORITY. I was determined to be able to give my girls the best of me instead of what was left over. It wasn’t easy. My mind often filled with negative self talk and so many excuses.
But at the end of our days, do we want to look back & know we were strong & took risks or do we want to have lived a life of excuses? All the lies you tell yourself are a total waste of time & energy. Don’t make excuses. Don’t be scared that you aren’t good enough.
You are worthy of greatness.
And if you want guidance in seeing this in your life, I am here for you.
Do you have big goals and dreams, but feel like they’re so out of reach? They’re not and I can support you in achieving them.
