My husband lovingly suggested, after doing all of my laundry, that I might want to consider paring down my clothing collection. Fast forward to me feeling convicted after watching the first 10 minutes of “The True Cost,” googling living wage clothing companies, and learning about the #versalette and #project333 . The first item on my list of 33 items is my sparkly skirt. I’m very excited and will be blogging about my experience! I’m certain my square dancing outfits won’t make the cut. 😂
Today is the first day of the @encircled_#wearyourcloset challenge and their email prompt inspired me to start with my purple tunic. I enjoy this tunic because it is 100% cotton and very soft. It is comfortable to wear. My partner loves that it is not black or grey, like most of my wardrobe. I struggle with it due to the length (it hits mid hip and makes my already large hips look enormous) and the design makes it one of my least versatile pieces. A part of me wants to keep it due to how happy it makes my partner but I never reach for it. I followed some of their styling tips and decided to try tucking it in and masking it with a belt. I enjoy the overall effect but it does not seem like it would be comfortable long term. We left Zagreb, Crotia around 9.30am and finally got to our apartment in Venice around 6.30pm. We were all exhausted, hot, sweaty and I think all the walking and stairs and carrying luggage got to a few people. But a cold shower and change of clothes to something cooler made me feel more human and out the door to explore and eat with dad and the twins
For another Facebook thread! We were discussing our #normie wardrobes versus our #lolitastyle and here is mine. My normie wardrobe is a combination of a lot of black and buckles for no apparent reason as well as minimalist travel clothes. My Lolita is a lot of red and patterns. 💞 How about you?
Happy Monday! ❤️ I hope your day is full of sunshine!
If you have time and are interested, I just published a review of the #Versalette - a piece of convertible travel clothing that I highly recommend (and I paid for it myself, so no bias in my review!). I'm wearing it in today's photo, to give you a teaser. Check it out on my blog by clicking the link in my bio 🙏🏻 #wearetravelgirls#sheisnotlost#dametraveler
