Mom post: So, I've had a lot of issues with people for a while but lately especially, where I'm apparently lying or being lazy, or am not fit to own animals since I say that I can't afford to take care of myself. So, hopefully this will help clear that up a bit. I can feed myself, get basic necessities, some pretty new things for my shop or the dogs here and there, a $3 candle that reminds me of my partner. It's not like I'm having to ration where I can only have a certain amount of food a day or whatever. I am 100% able to take care of my animals despite saying I don't take care of myself much. This is because I don't really have the option to take care of myself. The costs of pets and the cost of my health are nowhere near each other. Even if I had never gotten Rune or Dingo, I still wouldn't be able to afford my own care now. My initial estimate for what it would cost to start getting my spine regularly adjusted was $960/month. Now that I've found a new chiropractor that I adore, it would be even more than that: $1170/month. That's close to 4 times as much as the cheapest apartment rent I've found around here is. This is almost the price of a down payment on a decent mobile home (which is what we would prefer over an apartment or "house house" now since we want a house but don't want to stay even in this state forever). And this is for JUST getting my spine adjusted twice a week and getting muscle work done to go with it twice a week, which is how frequently I would realistically have to go in. My spine has gotten so bad, that I was told a few months ago at the hospital that I may not be able to WALK within a year or two. This is why I am glad Rune is turning out to be such a big boy, as I will now be needing mobility work at least until further notice out of an SD as well. Again, $1170/month is for only ONE of my conditions, and I have several. This does not include any of my other living expenses. People are so hateful and ignorant and it is 100% unnecessary. I find it sad that there are people who are so miserable they literally go out of their way to take things in the worst way possible, even if it doesn't make sense. Arguing for the sake of it.
