#SaintExpedite #FeastDay #urgentcauses #veneration #lunaenchanted Today is the feast day of one of my Patron’s, Saint Expedite, known by many other names including Expedit, Expeditus, Expedito, Speedy, and Espidee. His name describes his patronage so well. When invoking his intercession he is known to act fast and is perfect for urgent causes. A lot of what we understand about him is rooted in legend. He was said to be a Roman Centurion that lived and was martyred around 303 in Armenia (now Turkey). He holds the palm leaf of martyrdom in his left hand and in his right hand he holds up a white cross with the Latin word "hodie" ( meaning today). Below his right foot he is crushing a crow with the word "cras" (meaning tomorrow) coming from its beak. He is the patron of procrastinators, gamblers, shopkeepers and those in urgent need to name a few. But most importantly I see him as a crossroads Spirit, a road opener. A Spirit who moves things quickly, urgently and gets you what you require. He likes to be paid for his patronage; Sara Lee frozen pound cake is his price! Paid after he delivers your request. But well worth it! I usually burn a red or white candle to him sometimes green for money. I give him a glass of water and always have a statue or depiction of him on my altar. Wednesday’s is his day, but you can work with him any day!
You can work with Saint Expedite to keep your roads open or for any urgent need. “Thank you Saint Expedite today on your feast day and always for removing obstacles on my path”- Luna Hacker
