... What appears to the eye is a surprisingly bare landscape, monochromatic and faded, smooth and harsh.
What we see is the trace of a virtual space that embodies the quintessence of all humanly imaginable landscape, with its valleys, coves, peaks, dunes and ripples, foregrounds and backgrounds and intricate perspectives.
The dimensional aspect of these works is deeply enveloping and ambiguous. As one tries to decipher them, they become hostile, eeting, metamorphic.
These works are the fruit of the combined work of man and the ecosystem. Its origin is not a tautological blend of the cultural universe of man and the complex, superordinate universe of Nature.
It all happens in a sort of Middle-Earth where ideas and meanings are mu ed in the ambiguity generated by the encounter of the two universes, by the compromise by which they
sublimate their di erences and contradictions.
In this realm, all formal certainties are eradicated because the work is chaotic and unpredictable.
Whatever landscape is generated by the artists, it is never aspired or imposed, but negotiated and assumed. Visually, the work is complete but limited by its painterly aspect, by the suggestion of landscape. If this were the only interpretive level, the work would be just another mediocre manneristic “something”.
Fortunately, the authentic value of this research lies in its conceptual aspect, in the ideal territory in which man tries to build a connection with the universe that surrounds him, to address this perceived presence not as something alien to the human body but as a pre-existing endogenous potential that comes to life through a cosmic union: an emotional feeling endowed with intellectual value.#cinquepiudue#iltemposospeso#Timesuspended#velluto#velvet#artespressione#lostudio#milano#designweek2016#fuorisalone#5vie_milano#natural#interiordesign#style#design#interior#designer#art#artist#designdistrict#
