4 Tips For Muscle Growth 🤷🏽‍♂️
1. Train Smart. It's easy to go into the gym & repeat the same exercises but you're going to want to add variation to keep your muscles guessing and growing. I have found that focusing on strength has correlated with some good muscle growth and I highly recommend focusing on strength for the first 30-35% of your workout & then focusing on hypertrophy for the remaining 65-70% of the workout (optimum contraction, higher rep-range) 🦍🙌🏼
2. Do NOT Neglect Cardio. It's easy to just stop cardio completely in your off-season (bulk), but interpreting even one 15 minute jog a week will really help to stabilise fat levels whilst you're in a surplus (also keeps you fit & healthy in general)...this is the closest you'll get to being able to "gain muscle & look shredded" 😅🤙🏼
3. Eat Smart. To gain muscle you need to be in a caloric surplus, this basically means you're consuming more calories than you're burning. If you're not eating in a caloric surplus, you're not going to be building much (if any) muscle...eating well allows you to gain weight and put on lean mass 🙌🏼🔥 Don't let gaining weight scare you though...you can control how much you gain by the size of the surplus you're in ➡️ we would recommend 500 calories or so above maintenance intake (bare in mind that being heavier will massively increase your strength) 😌🤷🏽‍♂️
4. Eat Clean. Being in a surplus is obviously important but it's just as important to be eating the right foods to get you into that surplus. Focus on sustaining a balanced diet, getting in your fruit, veg, protein & fats (good fats, not saturated) 🐔fast-digesting carbs should be consumed around workouts & slower digesting carbs should be eaten throughout the day, with the majority being consumed at the beginning of your day to prevent excess fat gain 🥝🥒

📍So, you're looking to be more vascular. You want the veins sticking out that make your body look like a road map; great. From a bodybuilding/purely aesthetic standpoint, vascularity is a sign of low body fat percentage and lean muscle mass. But how do you achieve it naturally?
1️⃣ - Body Fat % - Veins are just like 6 pack abs. We all have them, but it won't show if you have body fat covering it up!
2️⃣ - Training - Your veins increase in size when you workout. More blood and oxygen are pumping through and your body heat is rising... that all contributes to your veins coming more to the surface!
3️⃣ - Reduce Sodium Intake - We all love fries and we all love piling salt on top to make them taste even better. But that salt is causing your body to retain more liquid, bloating you. If your body is bloated, veins won't appear!
📍Hell, I don't look like this all the time! This picture was snagged after I trained and was dehydrated from the session! However, the vascularity is still there and because I follow points 1️⃣, 2️⃣ and 3️⃣, it's easy to get like this!
