good morning! 🌼🍃 today I did fasted cardio for the first time and I absolutely loved it! I went for a moderate-paced walk for 30 minutes and I felt just as good as when I do it fueled up! ⛽️ actually, I felt even better, since I wasn't bloated from eating too close before and it got me way more EXCITED and HAPPY about the day!!! anyway, breakfast was ✌🏼veggie egg muffins made in the microwave with some leftover roasted zucchini 🍳🌱 and some steamed sweet potato slices with white cheese that I love! 😋 happy Sunday babes, hope you get to enjoy some time with family and friends!!! 🎉

What is Breakfast food?
Whatever food you eat for breakfast.
Who determines that a food is supposed to be for a certain meal? And who cares what we eat when?

The photo is my breakfast this morning.
Not your traditional breakfast I know, but why stick to tradition if it's not working?

Many people grab a bowl of cereal for convenience sake because it's quick and easy. I know I used to. I love cereal, in fact I loved it so much I would usually eat two bowls of it. And of course those two bowls were probably double what the serving size actually was. 3/4 -1 cup is not much cereal if you ask me. So I was eating 3-4 servings at a time! Yowza!

And then I would be hungry again an hour or 2 later.
.
Cereal is obviously not something that satisfies me so I quit eating it. Yes, I love it...or did, but it was not serving me. It was actually not beneficial to my health and fitness goals.
.
I also did not have lots of time to fix a complicated breakfast in the mornings so I began meal prepping and learning some faster alternatives and getting creative because I knew I needed to begin to incorporate more veggies into my daily nutrition habits. .

I can't believe it's taken me this long to try #zoats (Although, since we call them courgettes - shouldn't it be 'coats'??? 🙃) Guess what? Unsurprisingly, I loved them! I added cacao powder for a chocolatey twist and sweetened it up with maca, lucuma and vanilla. Topped the bowl off with @kokodairyfree and fresh fruit. Perfect fuel for the day ahead! This time last year my TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) receptor antibodies were 11 (eleven), three weeks ago blood results came back they are now 1.4 (one-point-four). Ok so #whole30 update: I started a fire in my kitchen. So. Yeah. Woops! (Just a small one and it was easily put out.)•


Other than a charred pan, I feel great.😂 This is really the optimal way to eat for my hypothyroidism, I am quite convinced, along with my doctor. However, in removing some of the food items my body doesn't process well, I think I took away too many calories because my family let me know today they are STARVING all day long. 😩🙊•

To remedy, I precooked several sweet and regular potatoes for them, stocked up on avocados, and made my first batch of homemade mayonnaise. 😋😋•


It was shocking to me to read the number of additives in commercial mayo compared to the four whole ingredients it took to make this one. We all loved the taste of it plain but I will be turning one half of this batch into fresh paleo ranch dressing and the other into spicy aioli (by adding a compliant buffalo hot sauce) later this evening. Here's to full bellies this evening! 🙌
