So excited about today's #instatipfriday I asked Eliane from the influencer marketing agency @wearefirstnl what they think is necessary for a good Instagram account.
But before that I wanted to let you know that not only we have a lovely sale in our webshop (yay for pretty ceramics and cards) but also a brand new recipe on our blog for this scrumptious vegan and gluten free banana bread. Now the advice of We are first:
'Allow me to begin by saying that we are not a PR agency. We are an independent influencer marketing agency. This means we do not represent influencers, and thus can always independently match the best influencer to each commission, whether they are part of our grammers.network, affiliated to an agency, or someone we don’t know yet.
Creativity is something we value highly. We’re not satisfied with simply holding up a product. More and more often I notice that commissions on influencer platforms are lacking a more content-based/creative angle. We, on the other hand, focus mainly on finding the best match. Naturally, it’s a major plus when someone has many followers and a high level of engagement, but for the campaign I’m working on at the moment, for example, we’re working with someone who has less than 2000 followers, simply because we love their style of photography. In cases like that, you invest rather than prioritising the number of people who might see the created content. Therefore, not a day goes by where I’m not searching for the most original accounts to work with. So, no. It’s not that important to have an outstanding amount of followers, although it is a nice bonus, because I do have to reach my targets as well. But yes, it is of great importance to be a talented and skilful photographer and to be original. And that means not posting 9 selfies in a row! Differentiate yourself from others, find your own style, then we will find you.'
