Hi guys, the last two days were very hard, for me and my whole family. My mother had a (mild) stroke yesterday and was brought to hospital. 😢 It was a shock for all of us. She is still very weak and dizzy and has to stay in hospital for some more days. The doctors are making many different tests and told us that my mom has very low potassium. The low potassium most likely occurred due to a drug to treat hypertension. Low potassium can actually lead to cardiac arrhythmias and symptoms like dizziness, nausea, basically everything which my mom experienced during the last 12 months and it can unfortunately also lead to stroke! No doctor ever made the connection. 🙁

I hope my mom gets much better soon, I really wish I could visit her. Thanks for all your kind messages, I appreciate all the love and good wishes/prayers you sent to my mom. 🙏

Here is a bento box which I made a while ago. It was filled with mango, raw brownie bites (recipe is on my blog), nuts and dried fruits and tacos filled with veggies. Good evening lovely people in my phone 🙋🏻😁. Who likes greens as much as I do? Today's dinner bowl is filled with zucchini noodles, spinach, green beans, rice 🍚, peas, avocado 🥑 and lettuce. I had some baked red bell pepper sauce with it but put it on top after taking the picture 😁. The sauce recipe is already on my blog and the link in my bio 👏🏻. .

EATING FOR YOUR GOALS 🤜🏼 whether you're cutting, bulking, maintaining or just chilling it's so important to ENJOY your food over anything. We're taught to be so afraid of calories and carbs, when in reality food is fuel and we need it to function 😌 Right now I am not counting calories/macros, so eating the pancakes on the bottom right isn't an issue for me, and I would never want knowing any 'numbers' behind my food to scare me off 🙅🏻 That being said it's important to be mindful when it comes to food so it is helpful to have an idea of the nutritional value of what you're eating 💕

Anyway, I just wanted to show how you can adapt a dish to suit whatever your goals are. From top left to bottom right:
1. Banana pancakes - super simple and delish
2. Adding berries - strawberries are a good option to add volume to your meal, whereas the blueberries are slightly higher in calories because of their sugar content
3. Adding a sauce - here I added a sauce made from agave syrup and cocoa powder... you could sub this for a sugar free syrup if your goals require less calories
4. The extras - to top it off I threw on some coconut flakes and chia seeds! Any seeds are a good option if you're looking to bulk up a meal with more calories and fats -

I'm finally home! Camping with my parents and 5 days at @xperiencefestival ended with a hornet bite 🐝😭 but it's already almost entirely healed after a few hours😊 it was painful but my body loves me and heals fast♥️

Speckled chia bowl, with rose petals, freeze dried pomegranate and coconut. You may remember me saying I'm not a huge chia pud fan (and I'm not), so after this pic I added a ton of fruit and yoghurt to break it up. I eat the chia for all those omega 3s, if you're wondering... Blue chia

1/4 cup chia seeds
1 1/2 cups fresh coconut milk
1 tsp vanilla bean powder
1/4-1/2 tsp blue matcha

Pink chia

1/4 cup chia seeds
1 1/2 cups fresh coconut milk
1 tsp vanilla bean powder
1 drop rose essential oil
1/2 tsp pitaya powder

This amount served me for about 3 meals 👌🏽 Chia seeds (and basically all my pantry staples) are from @thesourcebulkfoods . Kind of blown away by all the things you can do in Australia to reduce waste- they make it too easy. Of course, the first thing you can do is go vegan (and watch @cowspiracy if you're wondering how that helps!), but besides that, we are spoilt for choice. Consider modern cloth nappies, supporting organic farmers, reusable menstrual products (check out @fairlingscompany for that), go plastic-free and reuse old jars (by shopping at farmers markets and places like @thesourcebulkfoods ), make use of your local opp-shop, grow your own veg (even its it's just a single herb or greens!), read some David Suzuki books, asses your shopping addiction or walk to the shops next time. Every little choice helps. We are all snowflakes in the avalanche 🙏🏽

GOOD MORNING, Sweethearts! Craving this bowl with spiced oats topped off with chocolate drizzled berries, crunchy granola, cacao nibs and PB I had some time ago. Recipe: 50g rolled oats, 50g yield oats flakes by @koelln_deutschland, 180ml water, 1/2 mashed banana or 1 tsp. coconut sugar, 2 tsp. cocoa powder, 1 tsp. "Oatmeal Spice" by @justspices. Best treat to start the day - especially when it is cold outside as today. Now I'm off for a run. ✌🏻
