My lunch and dinner from yesterday in a pic. A good spinach salad with tofu, bell pepper and tomato. A vegetable soup with chickpeas.
What do you need to start a new chapter of your life as vegan? You can find around many pieces and guides about the topic, and every vegan you meet will give you interesting and useful tips about how to quit meat, to stop using eggs, to ween off the cows milk, to face family, friends, colleagues ..
All this is absolutely useful, it makes us stronger. Reading, asking, and basically educating myself helped me so much in the beginning 6years ago when I decided to change my diet (I remember myself crying on the floor, shocked from the documentary I’ve been watched).
But I feel the most helpful thing to start and keep on the right lifestyle is one or two points:
💚 remember why you chose to be vegan. Remember that moment you told yourself “never again animal products” and remember the feeling you had when you decided to change.
💚 keep educating yourself. We are living in a non-vegan society, it’s a fact. So being vegan in this society means we need to be stronger and educated/aware of how a vegan life is/could be.
And don’t forget that veganism is not a religion, it’s a way to FEEL the world. It’s more than a way to live your life, or just a way to eat healthy.
Veganism doesn’t mean just some vegetable in a bowl. To me veganism is a way to love and care about all lives, the ones I personally know and more the ones I will never meet.
