This is THE week!
This week, I'm introducing my wonderful new associate AND we have got a lot of surprises to go along with it! But first, let's talk a little bit more about what exactly an "associate" is! ️🎉️
Since starting my business, I've heard the term "associate" used in a lot of different ways. Some photographers have a dedicated second shooter whom they refer to as their "associate," while others pay photographers with already-established businesses to shoot weddings for them on days that they're already booked, in their place. When I decided to expand my team, I knew I wanted something distinctly different for HBP.
I've been dreaming of a "team" for a long time. As an extroverted business owner who works from home, I've missed working alongside others on a daily basis. I dreamed of having a team of photographers dedicated exclusively to the HBP mission & brand. I wanted to create more space for like-minded creatives who didn't have the capacity or interest in starting their own business, but were longing for something more than their current careers. But, I didn't see any way to add additional photographers to the team without compromising the quality & style that has taken so long to build. However, this changed when I realized that it was all about finding the right people. ♥️
The newest team member of HBP was the perfect fit because of her strong character & impressive, creative eye for fine art. I've been training her for the majority of 2018, and she'll be shooting weddings exclusively for HBP couples! Everything we do is as a team, and so her process, shooting style & final product is all a perfect match to what you already love about our work: centered around authentic relationships & and a fine art approach. This new addition to our team will give couples a 2nd option for a wedding photographer, and I'm so thrilled that we'll be able to serve more couples because of her!
