Rewriting Stories 📖//I started something new this week! 🌟This year reading "You are a badass" was game changing! She shares and makes so many good points on leaving your past and negatives ⬅️behind and truly focusing on your NOW! (#myNOWmoment) ‼️//In chapter 17 she talks about your "stories" which are pretty much negative thoughts 💭 you have programmed your mind to truly believe. So I sat down this weekend and reflecting and wrote mine down. BOY was this hard guys!! So difficult to actually own your truth and find the deep rooted reasons you tell yourself these things 🌱.// I decided to break mine up into 4 categories - MONEY, INTELLIGENCE, BEAUTY, ACCIDENT. Within these categories are "stories" I tell myself and believe. This needs to STOP ✋🛑 // Here is an example;
•STORY = "My accident holds me back from enjoying things like I used too"
•DEEP ROUTED REASONS = Attention, Having people understand what I went through, Staying safe/avoiding getting hurt again, feeling sorry for myself. •NEW STORY = "My accident has made me a stronger, BETTER person. ✅
So what do you do once you establish your new stories? 🤔They turn into your DAILY AFFIRMATIONS!!!💫 // I wrote mine down on little post it notes and decided that each morning I will pick one and repeat it over and over⏰. I stuck it on my water bottle and brought it to the gym with me. Each break I would sit/stand/whisper or yell it!!! 🗣 These NEW stories need to sink in! They need to kick out the old brain washing ones and inturn = more #SELFLOVE 💗
