Weight Training VS Confidence 🏋🏻♀️// I wanted to talk today about my personal confidence. Over the years and prior to my accident I lacked self confidence. I was always the shy girl, the follower, the girl that blended in and didn't ever want to stand out. 👤 I hated how I looked and would tear myself apart whenever I was in front of a mirror. I didn't LOVE myself. 💔
Fitness is where my confidence started to grow. I had purchased @kayla_itsines "BBG EBOOK" in 2014 as a goal for my upcoming birthday. I was already into fitness using HIIT workouts and then feel in love with Kaylas program and #bbgcommunity. My confidence was growing! I completed that guide and honestly felt in the BEST shape of my life & had confidence for my 30th Birthday Celebration 🎉- THEN literally a month later my accident happened.
Waking up to a changed body shook my confidence to the core. The Trauma I had to deal with brought on even more mental hurdles to now overcome. I went back to my old faithful @bbg_community and completed 4 rounds POST surgery! I was super proud of myself but something was missing this time. BBG was helping me with my fitness but all my confidence issues were still present - and even worse now with a 5 inch vertical scar down my tummy. 😣
I decided this year to try Weight Training. Without knowing much about it, I figured it was time for a change and also wanted to educated myself more on the human body and effectively training it. Months into it I can say my personal confidence is growing more than EVER! I shock myself everyday with how much I can push myself and progress! 💪🏻
Why Weight Training:
•Increased Energy/EPOC - Like HIIT lifting consumes oxygen post workout. This means increased fat loss = increased energy •Bone Health - as Females this is a HUGE reason. As we age we produce less estrogen which is needed for bone mass. Weight training can counter act that and help prevent osteoporosis! •Curves - Weight Training gives you the power to create curves. By growing my back and booty I am noticing I am finally achieving that hourglass look!! ⏳
Weight Training has giving me growing confidence, strength I craved and inner SELF LOVE I needed ❤️#myNOWmoment
