The damn breaks because of the accumulation of many raindrops without an outlet to drain off.
We all have things in our lives where we say to ourselves, "I will handle or deal with that later", "That is not important enough for me to focus on it right now" , or "That doesn't bother me anymore" (when it truly does and we are just sweeping it under the rug). The problem is that when we don't devote the necessary time to these things, they tend to build up over time without us even noticing. All of the sudden the damn breaks, then we are making a big deal out of something small, we are in thousands of dollars of debt, we are on the brink of divorce, we are at risk of getting fired, etc. etc.
I challenge all of us to find an outlet for all of the raindrops in our lives. Life is hard and we need to be able to deal with these obstacles, adversities, and negative habits in the moment, in a healthy way so we can make sure we are not at risk of a flood.
Please contact me if you feel your damn is about to break or if you want to be proactive in finding outlets for your raindrops to drain.
