Georgeous architecture, colourful patterns, tasty food, warm locals and strong culture makes Uzbekistan amazing destination to explore.
It happened to be more exotic, than i was expecting. Not only people here still are wearing traditional clothes on daily basis, not only they are still listening to traditional music, but also some things, which are obvious in 21st century like ATM, online tickets, smiling cashiers or good cup of coffee is an issue here. It's not the place where you will find lots of global familiarity. This brings part of the uniqueness and very interesting combination of traditional culture of Central Asia, late Soviet calmness and how the country is searching for it's way after gaining independence 25 years back.
Uzbekistan is definitely awesome destination, which is working hard to get attention of the tourists and find it's niche as a cultural place. To be true, the number of tourists are not that big, many times major tourist streets were absolutely empty, which feels a bit dramatic.
Uzbekistan is one of two countries in the world, who and who's neighbors don't have any exit to the open sea, so it's definitely a destination to admire culture and get a glimpse of how life could be in other places.
Major practical numbers:
10 days in Uzbekistan
4 places and 1 side trip
4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Average expenses 90$/day for 2 people without plane tickets (i got them using airline miles) .
