🇺🇸 I always incorporate some basic asanas such as #utthitatrikonasana and #utthitaparsvakonasana in my stretching sequence that I do before my daily walks on the beach. Besides stretching some muscles I’m also energizing my body 🙏🏼 there’s nothing better than walking by the sea, feeling the sun, the breeze and suntanning 💕 gotta love this #tropicallife ☀️ .

It was a different feeling using blocks! I didn't know how my hips were not opened and my knees were not bent. So I needed to know how exact my body alignment was and then i will keep doing yoga with the same feeling !
한번쯤 내 몸의 정렬을 제대로 익히기 위해선 이렇게 블럭을 이용하는 것 또한 좋은 방법인 것 같다 . 나는 내 무릎이 90도인줄만 알았고 , 모든 정렬이 곧은 줄만 알았으며 내 꼬리뼈와 복부힘은 하나로 모여 단단한줄로 착각해왔다 .

I had such an amazing time this weekend at a beautiful home in Lake Nacimiento, spending time with my friends and enjoying the sunshine. My favorite part of this trip was the beautiful yoga class I had the privilege of leading for everyone on Saturday morning. During savasana, as I walked around offering physical adjustments and energy healing, we all shared the gorgeous sounds of five crystal singing bowls played by our musical friends Luke and Patrick. It was an extremely successful first run of what will definitely be a Yoga Retreat in the near future!! Can’t wait to share the details as soon as we work them out!!

I absolutely love this amazing yoga teacher from Atlanta @tanyasizemore she’s a sheer yoga beauty and a poetry in motion💓🕉 Her fabulous flows made me wish I could join in and flow with her, and guess what dear yogi friends, she announces that she’s teaching yoga workshops „progression not perfection” at @yogaonthelakekohler , which is only two-hour drive from Chicago. My point here is that the universe is there for us and she listens to us 😍💓🙏 so #keepdreaming as #dreams #cometrue .

🌟 #AshtangaMondays 🌟 How to effectively modify Extended Side Angle Pose, & Revolved Side Angle Pose.

Utthita Parsvakonasana or Extended Side Angle Pose:
For all variations - Align the heel of the front foot with the arch of the back foot, & have the outer edge of the back foot grounding down
➡️ Modification 1:
* Take a shorter stance, so the front leg doesn’t come to a full 90 degree angle
* Elbow, or lower arm comes to thigh of front leg
➡️ Modification 2:
* Take a longer stance, so the thigh of the front leg becomes parallel with the mat
* Elbow, or lower arm comes to thigh of front leg
➡️ Full Pose:
* The supporting hand is flat on the mat on the outside of the front foot
* Hips sink down
* Send front knee forwards, & press outwards against arm
* Leg, torso, & lifted arm creating one strong diagonal line

Parivrtta Parsvakonasana or Revolved Side Angle Pose:
For all variations - (As shown here) Left hand flat on the mat along the outside edge of the right foot. Twist deeply & have the upper arm connected to your thigh
➡️ Modification 1:
* Back knee is down on the mat
* Right hand on hips
➡️ Modification 2:
* Back leg straight - the knee comes off the mat
* Right hand on hips
➡️ Modification 3:
* Back heel up & leg straight
* Right arm extends to form the diagonal line
➡️ Full Pose:
* Back heel pivots down to the mat, & the foot is flat on the mat at a 45 degree angle
* Keep sending the front knee forwards
* Maintain the twist & the connection between the left arm & the right leg
